Memories are often distorted, missing crucial elements, or entangled with other memories. It is common to have a childhood memory of an event that never happened, or obscured and distorted beyond recognition. Every time a memory is recalled, and re-stored, it changes ever so slightly, tinted by your mood or environment at the time of the recall. Carousel is symbolic of happy childhood memory, a day at an amusement park. Growing up, I've always enjoyed 3d wood puzzles, often creating famous monument or landmark buildings. I always wondered if I could create something else other than following the instructions meticulously. And so, I re-created the carousel in my memory from a child's eye.
